American Conquest: Demo Coming Soon and Interface

Knowing that many fans are excited about American Conquest, GSC is planning to release a playable and public demo as early as this May (2002).  This will certainly gain the attention of the RTS Community, and many fans of the RTS genre, in general, will be able to

“A Public demo will be available as early as May, and you'll be able to see the interface there.”
Pepsi, GSC

see the promising features of American Conquest.

The most exciting aspect of American Conquest has definitely been its depth in gameplay and strategy, as there will be many things to look forward to: a great morale system, manned cannons, realism, and excellent graphics that will be able to run on even lower-end machines.  All of this will fit the needs, as GSC expects, of the fans.

Also, the interface was also of talks with GSC, as they also promised a very artistic look to the interface. Battle Realms, with one of the most artistic interfaces, has really caught the eyes of RTS fans.  More promising is that the interface will be different from Cossacks, which is also some good news to look forward to!

Question:  Is the interface going to be different from Cossacks? [Asked By KnightRobby]

Answer:  “Naturally, the interface will be different, as we cannot use the same one in different games. To create graphics we involved a talented artist, who drew great historical replicas. We will take the best things from Cossacks interface adding the necessary improvements.”

Now, it is time to look forward to the demo, which will be avialable as early as May, or at the latest, through the Summer.  This "exciting" new information will show off American Conquest's details, such as transperancy of water, land textures, strategic combat, fortress management, and a whole lot more that fans will expect from American Conquest! AC's future looks bright, and in the beginning you might want to be around for the demo!
